We recognise that our impact extends beyond our own operations and we work with our suppliers to ensure our supply chain reflects the same standards we set for ourselves. Through responsible sourcing, supplier engagement and clear governance, we promote ethical human rights standards, environmental stewardship and transparency across the value chain.
Our initiatives reflect our commitment to ethical business conduct and human rights in action across procurement and supplier management through procurement controls and practices, supplier sustainability assessment and local and responsible sourcing.

The Supplier Code of Conduct (SCOC) sets clear expectations on ethical conduct, human rights, labour standards and environmental protection. We require suppliers to follow our Supplier Code of Conduct covering social, environmental and ethical standards. By the end of 2025, 90% of suppliers representing 80% of spend had acknowledged the Code. In 2025, we introduced a Responsible Procurement Policy, ESG contract clauses and updated tenders, embedding sustainability alongside price and quality across sourcing and contracts.

Our approach to local and ethical sourcing is guided by internal targets that prioritise sourcing within the UAE where viable. Business units work collaboratively with suppliers to strengthen quality and performance. In 2025, spend with local suppliers increased by 15%, while spend with Dubai-based SMEs grew by 5.6% and spend with women-owned suppliers rose by 6.8%, supporting inclusive economic growth and strengthening resilient, responsible supply chains.

The Sustainability Champions initiative is a network of procurement professionals representing different categories and teams across the Group. Their work has strengthened supplier collaboration and expanded responsible sourcing opportunities, improving visibility of sustainable products and services across the supply chain.
