Dubai Holding Real Estate achieved the Group’s first LEED Gold Community Pre-certification for The Acres master plan. The project met stringent criteria for energy efficiency, water conservation and community well-being, putting our Sustainable Design Principles into action. Promoting sustainable and active living in Dubai, this community is committed to an 80% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions per capita, compared to the national average. With 1,200 villas set within green spaces 2.5 times larger than the global average, the community prioritises energy efficiency and water conservation, achieving 33% lower water use than the UAE average.

Dubai Holding signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Dubai Municipality to support the Dubai Integrated Waste Management Strategy 2021–2041 and the Dubai Urban Plan 2040. The partnership strengthens waste handling, reporting, operational coordination and progress towards circular economy objectives. Aligned with the Circle Dubai initiative, the agreement sets a framework for institutional collaboration, data sharing and source segregation across residential, commercial, industrial and institutional sectors—reinforcing Dubai Holding's commitment to embedding responsible waste management and sustainable practices across its assets and communities.

Dubai Holding is a strategic partner of the DUBAI REEF programme, led by the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) and Dubai Can. It is one of the world’s largest purpose-built reef developments, spanning 600 km² and incorporating more than 400,000 m³ of reef structures. Launched by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the initiative will deploy 20,000 reef modules by 2027 to restore marine habitats, enhance biodiversity, protect coastal ecosystems and support conservation research, regeneration and ecotourism - delivering lasting benefits for marine life across Dubai’s waters.
