Dubai Holding contributes to Dubai’s ambition of becoming a leading global manufacturing centre through TECOM Group’s Dubai Industrial City, a dedicated hub that provides integrated manufacturing and logistics solutions for global industry giants.
Dubai Industrial City
Dubai Industrial City, the region’s leading manufacturing and logistics hubs and one of TECOM Group’s business districts, was established in 2004 to accelerate industrial development throughout the UAE and position Dubai as a global destination for manufacturing and logistics. The district offers world-class sector-specific infrastructure, including land and storage and logistics spaces, to improve the ease of doing business and enhance the UAE’s and Dubai’s appeal to foreign direct investment (FDI), contributing towards the goals of Operation 300bn, Make it in the Emirates, and Dubai Economic Agenda ‘D33’.
Strategically located close to Jebel Ali Port, Al Maktoum International Airport and key national and regional roads and the home of an Etihad Rail freight terminal, Dubai Industrial City offers connectivity from Dubai to two-thirds of the world’s population in eight hours. Its intelligently designed masterplan includes six dedicated zones for vital economic sectors including base metals, machinery, minerals, food and beverage, transport, and chemicals.
The district is home to more than 350 operational factories in addition to global manufacturing leaders such as Unilever, Barakah Dates Factory, Standard Carpets and Enviroserve. In line with the UAE’s vision for economic diversification, Dubai Industrial City serves as a uniting platform to unite global manufacturers and catalyse growth through the manufacturing sector.
