Since his appointment, he has been at the helm of the Group’s transformation and remarkable growth, delivering on the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai for a sustainable, innovation-led future economy across multiple sectors, leveraging its ecosystem across multiple sectors including real estate, hospitality, retail, media, leisure and entertainment.

Over the past seven years, under Amit’s leadership, the Group concluded landmark transactions, accelerating transformation and sustainable value creation. It has gone from strength to strength, solidifying its strong local foundations, expanding its global footprint and establishing itself as a true leader of tomorrow. During this period, Dubai Holding further expanded its investments to over 30 countries, driving diversification across key sectors, including real estate, hospitality, media and entertainment.

Amit has overseen successful landmark integrations into Dubai Holding over the years. Leading real estate developers Nakheel and Meydan were integrated in 2024, DXB Entertainments was integrated in 2021, after it was taken private and delisted from the Dubai Financial Market (DFM) and leading real estate developer Meraas was integrated in 2020. These key integration initiatives enabled a streamlining of operations, a realisation of multiple synergies across the Group and overall sustainable economic growth.

Amit’s leadership was also pivotal in the successful public DFM listings in 2022, of TECOM Group PJSC (TECOM), the Group’s operator of business destinations, and Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation PJSC (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling service provider. In May 2025, Dubai Holding’s residential leasing business, Dubai Residential, was incorporated as a real estate investment fund (REIT) and publicly listed its units on the DFM.

Under Amit’s leadership, Dubai Holding also made strategic stake acquisitions in leading UAE real estate developer, Emaar Properties, and in Emirates NBD, one of the region’s largest banks, with Dubai Holding becoming the second largest shareholder in each of those listed entities respectively, thus strengthening Dubai Holding’s position as a key shareholder in major listed companies.

Strategic partnerships have also been a hallmark of Amit’s tenure, including, most recently, the acquisition of a stake in Nord Anglia Education as part of a consortium of leading global investors, and the structured equity co-investment alongside Ares Insurance Partners in Aspida, a fast-growing fixed annuity platform. Earlier partnerships included the joint venture with Brookfield Asset Management and the joint venture with leading UAE real estate developer Aldar Properties.

The above initiatives, together with various fund investments and tactical co-investments across the private equity, private credit, venture capital and infrastructure asset classes, contribute to the diversification of Dubai Holding.

Amit has additionally played a key role in expanding the Group’s luxury hospitality portfolio with strategic acquisitions of flagship properties in France, Switzerland, Italy and the Maldives. In 2025, Jumeirah launched Marsa Al Arab, the latest addition to the Jumeirah portfolio in Dubai, and 2024 saw Jumeirah securing exclusive rights to manage Thanda Island,  elevating the luxury brand’s presence both locally and internationally. The Group’s real estate business further evolved into one of the largest real estate development businesses in Dubai under Amit’s stewardship.

In addition to his executive leadership, Amit serves on the boards of several regional and international organisations, including TECOM and Empower. He also contributes to governance and strategic oversight as a member of various committees, such as the Audit and Risk Committees of TECOM and Empower. Additionally, he chairs the Executive Committee and sits on the Investment Committee of Shamal Holding LLC and serves on the Advisory Board of Warwick Business School in the UK and on the Board of Trustees of the British University in Dubai.

Before joining Dubai Holding, Amit gained over a decade of experience in financial services with leading investment banks, including Goldman Sachs, UBS and Deutsche Bank, where he specialised in transaction advisory, structuring and capital markets.

Amit is a British national and holds a Master of Philosophy degree in Finance from the University of Cambridge (UK) and a BSc (First Class Hons.) in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics from the University of Warwick (UK).
