Dubai Holding is committed to business excellence in order to ensure the organization achieves a balanced stakeholder satisfaction across all companies.

We have taken a strategic decision to use the EFQM Excellence Model® which has been introduced in 1992 by the European foundation for Quality Management. The model is based on the following eight fundamental concepts of Excellence:

We have established the Dubai Holding Excellence Program (DHEP), which measures our companies’ performance and advancement towards Excellence. This innovative program includes the following:

Dubai Holding Excellence Award

Dubai Holding Excellence Award (DHEA) is presented annually to our companies that have demonstrated performance improvement in the area of Business Excellence. The award is based on the EFQM model criteria which set guidelines that can be used by our business entities to assess their own Excellence improvement efforts.

The Award itself also provides guidance to our companies by disseminating information detailing how excellent they were able to change their cultures and achieve eminence. All our companies are mandated to participate in the award every year and they have to go through an independent EFQM assessment.

The award has an annual ceremony where the Chairman of Dubai Holding recognizes the companies that have demonstrated their commitment to Excellence.

This unique program is quiet successful within our organization as it enables our employees to witness best practices in world class organizations.

Customer and Employee Satisfaction Surveys

All of our companies are surveyed annually for customer and employee satisfaction. The surveys are conducted through an external and independent company.

Business Excellence Council

The Business Excellence Council has the mandate to provide the strategic direction and make recommendations to the Executive committee. The council is chaired by the Dubai Holding Group Director for Business Excellence and a Business Excellence director from each company.
